Kinda.
On top of being a wife and a fur-mama, I also have like 4 jobs.
Photography is only ONE of them - and it's only part-time.
That's a little crazy, isn't it? Read on to see what else I do!
- My full time job. I work as an office manager for a water utility company. While I would LOVE to to do photography as a full-time job, I try to think logically. I make decent money, have a great laid-back boss, and awesome benefits. We have state retirement which will allow me to retire from my job around 58 years old. I work with some amazing people who are like some of my best friends. While it does stink having to do a regular 8-5 all the time, I try to remember that it may be worth it in the end. I'll also admit that I like routine and certainty. I honestly prefer to KNOW exactly what I'm going to bring home every week from my main job, the rest is just extra!
. - Mary Kay. I'm KIND of a Mary Kay consultant. I originally signed up in 2018 to help my sister-in-law win a trip, but I also enjoy the discount and the products. I've been using MK since she first started selling it several years ago. I'm NOT a party girl. I knew I wouldn't like doing the parties, so while I did try them out a time or two, I realized it just wasn't for me. I keep it up by purchasing my own makeup and selling to friends & family. If you ever need MK - hit me up! I can guarantee you that I'm not gonna bug you or constantly hit you up to buy. :)
- the Fair. So, I don't actually make money with this, but time-wise, it is essentially a job. I volunteer as the pageant director for our local county fair. I've been on the board since 2013, and the sole director since 2015. I put on 6 different pageants between the ages of 0-21 during our county fair. Out of the 6, 4 of the winners will proceed to the state level, where I also volunteer as a committee member for the teen committee of the Kentucky County Fair Association. With state, we have 4 different meetings that we attend across the state. Most people probably think I'm crazy, but it's honestly a BLAST. We have SO many friends across the state and we're even super close our amazing carnival. They are SO much fun to hang out with, and no they aren't "carnies" like you think they are. They are JUST like me and you truthfully. My husband is also on the local board as well as a committee for state so it helps that we get to do all of this crazy thing together!
